Endothermic generators are used to produce protective atmosphere in heat treatment of hardening, carburizing, annealing, nitriding, tempering, sintering, etc.
In the furnaces, the endogas is commonly used in mixture with other gases of different composition and characteristics in order to interact with these to achieve a thermochemical process required on the materials to be treated.

Available in electric and gas version, composed of one or two metallic reaction retorts, inside them the generation of the endogas takes place, starting from air, methane or propane, introduced separately and mixed together in a controlled and programmed ratio. The reaction to obtain the endogas is facilitated by suitable metal catalysts, through which the starting gases are forced to transit. At the exit of the retort the reaction is stabilised by rapid cooling.
It is possible to obtain a better gas drying through condensers and dryers to decrease the residual water contain (dew point) according to the type of treatment requested.
